Primary School
but with actions and in truth.”
1 John 3:18
Milton Parochial Primary School is a Christian values-based Church school at the heart of our community, where we strive for excellence and encourage and nurture every child to reach their God-given full potential to flourish – educationally, personally, morally and spiritually.
Love your neighbour as yourself (Matthew 22:36-40) and do to others as you’d have them do to you (Luke 6:31)
We think of others and treat them how we would like to be treated.
“So in everything, do to others as you would have them do to you.” Matthew 7:12
We value everyone and everything
“In everything set them an example by doing what is good.” Titus 2:7
We take ownership of our actions.
“Everyone should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.” Galatians 6:4-5
We tell the truth
“For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of Man.”
2 Corinthians 8:21
We never give up
“I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.” Revelations 2:1
We show care towards each other
“Dear children, let us not love with word or speech, but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18
We learn from our mistakes and we do not remember wrongs.
“Be kind and compassionate to each other, forgive each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

As a church school and 'a place where everyone can flourish' we aim to create an environment that will nurture people’s minds, body and soul. We believe that spirituality should influence all areas of education and life. Therefore, we ensure that throughout the curriculum there are rich deep thinking opportunities which contribute to pupils’ spiritual development.
Spiritual development relates to fundamental questions about the meaning and purpose of life which affect everyone, and is not dependent on a religious affiliation.
As a church school we are guided by the Christian faith and Christian values which Christians hold dear. However, we truly welcome all and we openly encourage children to reflect in the way that suits them best, enabling them to participate in an ongoing process of spiritual realisation and to flourish in a way that will help them find peace, comfort and strength throughout life's ever changing journey. These are some of the areas that contribute to our spiritual learning in school:
Choral worship
Collective worship
RE teaching and learning

We are a small well-resourced Church of England primary school with 89 pupils currently on roll. At Milton, there is a strong Christian ethos that pervades all areas of school life. We have strong links with our local church and community. There is a good 'family' feel - we know each other well.
New children are assigned a 'buddy', settle well and make friends quickly. We are pleased to be a member of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust. Click here for the PDET news page.
