Admissions
Milton Parochial Primary School is an Academy within the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust. The Academy Trust is the admission authority and has responsibility for setting the Admission Policy. The policy is administered by the Local Governing Body. The Governing Body will admit up to 15 pupils into each year group. The governors will admit all pupils with a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHC) which names the school as appropriate provision.
Appeals
How to appeal for a place at our school
If you have applied and been refused a place at our school (in any year group), you are entitled to appeal against that decision.
Appeals for PDET academies are administered by The Diocese of Peterborough Education team. For more information on the process please see: www.peterborough-diocese.org.uk/church-schools/admission-and-appeals/
If you wish to appeal please contact the Appeals Administrator by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and ask for an appeals pack.
The pack includes some explanatory notes about the process of Admission Appeals and a Notice of Appeal form that, should you decide to proceed with an appeal, will need to be completed and returned by email if possible, but if not, to the Diocesan Office instead.

Performance Data
Curriculum
Detailed information on how we support the curriculum on a termly basis, for each year group, can be found in our Curriculum page.
Phonics and Reading Schemes
We follow the Letters and Sounds programme for phonics across the school. All our reading books in EYFS, KS1 and where applicable in KS2 are aligned with this phonics programme. We use Big Cat Letters and Sounds alongside Rising Stars Reading Planet which have been especially selected to enage children and match our phonics teaching.
Behaviour
The application of our behaviour policy seeks to lead children towards high self-esteem and self-discipline which will show in caring and courteous Christian behaviour towards others. The best results, in terms of promoting good behaviour, arise from emphasising potential, rewarding success and giving praise for effort and achievement. In our school exemplary behaviour is expected, acknowledged and rewarded.
